Salt Mule Co LLC ("Salt Mule Co," "we," "us") runs saltmuleco.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or buy from us, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to fill your order, and we don't sell it.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email, phone number, and shipping and billing address. You enter these on our checkout page, which is run by our payment processor, Stripe.
Payment details: Stripe handles your card or other payment information directly. We never see or store your full card number.
When you email us: your email address and whatever you write to us.
Your cart: the items in your cart are saved in your own browser so they stay put between visits. That information stays on your device until you check out.
Basic technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider handles things like your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe may use cookies on its checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud.

How we use it

To process, ship, and support your order, including returns and refunds.
To answer your questions.
To keep the business and tax records the law requires.
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.

We won't add you to a marketing list unless you sign up for one.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:

Stripe processes payments (Stripe's privacy policy).
Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
Cloudflare hosts this website.

We may also share information when the law requires it. We don't sell or rent your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Emails are kept as long as they're useful for helping you.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@saltmuleco.com. We'll honor your request unless we need to keep a record for legal reasons, such as tax records.

Children

Our shop isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date.
